What Kate Does

Man, last night's episode was...a Kate episode. Mostly filler. What do you think was in that pill? My guess: some Jacob Ashes. Do you think the "infection" is the same one that plagued Rousseau's crew? And who else is tired of Jack being such a dick about everything? How about Claire showing up and killing some fools? Is she really "infected"?

Why is she only cute when she's NOT on the show?

Eryn - seriously!

Matt - seriously!

Man I hate Kate episodes.

I'm always the last person to toss out a meh all over an episode.

Booorrrrinnnng.

But I loved it.

And why was Syid such a wuss.

5 points and I'm not really sure what I was supposed to get out of that episode. Was I supposed to be thinking of some kind of karmic justice when Sayid got tortured? Was I supposed to be excited that Ethan was an obstetrician in L.A.? Or that Claire is back on the show? Honestly all I likes was Arnzt making an appearance.

why the fuck would a fugitive take the same taxi she kidnapped a pregnant chick in back to a scene of the crime to pick her up again?

Why didn't Claire call the cops after Kate had her a gun point? Why the hell would she get back in the taxi with a fugitive when she's pregnant? does she care about her child? and THEN give KATE HER CREDIT CARD?!?!?!?!?

waste of time.

and absolutely nothing happend at the temple either.

lol Matt.. Yes, ridiculous things. But I think the writers are wanting us to see that the characters have this "do I know you from somewhere?" feeling about each other that makes them more prone to communicating or being nice - like last week with John and Jack.

Until I saw Ethan last night it didn't occur to me that everyone who was on the island before the crash is off doing something else. Makes you wonder how they will work other characters in.. If Desmond isn't on the island, where is he? Did he win his race and live happily ever after with Penny? Where's Ben? Where are all of the others who were on the island that's now under water?

Prediction - Anna Lucia will end up arresting Kate

Yeah, the whole time I was thinking "this is such a ridiculous premise" which I usually HATE when people say that. Cause the whole show is ridiculous anyways. But now I agree with Eryn. It's all weird and everyone is so trusting because there is some underlying connection they feel, though they don't understand why.

though the whole stolen taxi back to the scene of the crime thing is pretty ridiculous though. She should've at least stolen a different car.

lil' maxwell said...

well, they didn't really pull off the underlying connection feeling well if that's what they were going for. I did get it with Jack on the airplane.

But beyond the alt scenes, the temple stuff was all pretty lame and hokey.

I did like Sawyer.

people! criminals always return to the scene of the crime! it's a known fact!

gabriel said...

It's true. Police photographers always take pictures of anyone around crime scenes.

Sawyer crying was the best!

I submit as evidence this link: http://dispatchesfromtheisland.blogspot.com/2010/02/remind-me-to-explain-this-later.html

I believe this is proof that not only is Eko going to inhabit Hugo but that Locke will inhabit Sayid.

Could be graspin' at straws. Maybe.

ha! this is an excerpt from an interview with mathew fox:

I]t's become clear that Fox takes himself more seriously than almost anyone I've ever met. Looking at my notes afterwards, I see that I've written, rather shakily, 'My God, it's like talking to a tree

DP, your right! Remember when Lost was this beautiful character driven show. The plot twists where this icing on the cake. Now IT"S ALL PLOT and the character, some times act seemingly out of character. Really, were all so invested in the show now, there is no going back.

Charles

ps. Dan Barnes is phoning it in right now, somewhere.

I assume all of this is prelude to a heartfelt apology? Everybody chant now: Barnes was right! Barnes was right! Barnes was right! Barnes was right!

The wife has actually decided to give up on "Lost", but you know me - I never cut and run.

Ahem...Johnny English?

ps. I personally never said you where wrong about the shows decline in quality, however I did feel you where exaggerating as to how far the show had fallen. That said, you are critic. I guess that's your job.
