Questions & Answers: The Little Prince

Answer! Jin is Alive. At least after the freighter, he is.

Answer! Nosebleeds = time travel (which we all assumed, I know) but does not mean that Charlotte is preggo, which is a theory I heard floating about somewhere. But what's gonna happen to them all, since they're all getting nosebleeds? Someone has to die sooner or later. Will Sawyer die in an unrequited love way, just as Kate returns to the Island?

Question! Is everyone smarter than Jack? Really, of course Ben was behind the sneaky lawyer! Ben is going to trick you Jack.

Question! Who are the people from Aijra Airlines and what is their role? Who was on the beach when they attacked? What time period was that?

Question! Is Kate really all that maternal? Does she really care for Aaron, because I don't really buy it. Also, can they somehow get a different child actor? I really don't care about consistency.

Question! Why didn't they show Charlie or Jin at the birth of Aaron?

Question! Was Miles on the Island before? Who was the baby? Him or Charlotte?

Question! Does Rosseau remember Jin?

I'm starting to get annoyed with the off-Island "lets all get to the Island" stuff too now... it's like, as Al said, more jumping through hoops. Just do it already. Those people never deliberated so much when they were on the island. Damnit, go back already! It was interesting when they we didn't know where they were going to end up, but now we do, so... boooring.

Also, this is posted by Madeline, not Cody. If anyone knows how to change that, please let us know.

am i really the first person who gets to talk about jin being alive? nice. i don't know what to say about it other than me and 16 other virtual people had no doubt...though i wish i could have gotten some money out of it like i think some other people are about to

Anonymous said...

I know what to say about it: suck it Al!

j/k I love you, poor guy. how much money did you lose?

i wish future Sawyer would have met past Sawyer. They could have a quip-off. What clever nicknames would Sawyer come up with for himself?

my first guest:
Rock n' Roll Jesus

PS. fuck you Jin. You are supposed to be dead.

Jin was seen talking to a dead woman in the past. That counts as alive?

What?! Jin is totally alive! He has been jumping around in time with the rest of the people who stayed on the island. I am sooooo glad that Jin is still alive. When he and Sun get back together I am totally going to cry.

My "he floated on a piece of the boat and got transported through time with everyone else" theory came to pass.

I can hear them rejoicing in S.Korea, I think...

Conway-
Are you going to cry even though Sun is evil now and is going to kidnap Aaron for Widmore?

I hope the producers of Lost use the "dead people are actually alive" trick sparingly or everything on Lost will lose all meaning, as will my life.

Anonymous said...

Even more so because the child that plays Aaron is a terrible actor. JK, I'm sure they will find a way to make Sun sweet again.

I agree about the "dead people are actually alive" trick. Careful, Lost.

And Miles is totally Dr. whats-his-names son because Farraday asked him if he was sure he'd never been to the island before after Miles started to get the nosebleed.

Dear Jay,
Boom!

Love Natalie.

P.S. That goes for everyone else who said Jin was dead too.

Anonymous said...

Sun should turn around and shoot Aaron.

Anonymous said...

I want Aaron to go away just so I don't have to hear Kate call him "baby" anymore.

-miller

Cody said...

I agree. I wanted to punch Kate and Aaron both when she called him "Goober".

beckler said...

Man, I am surprised by all this anti-Aaron sentiment on this blog. It's disturbing and negative. I am going to go back over to my favorite blog, heckasac, and write some funny comments there.

Aaron should go back to his own country.

heckasac can have Aaron for all I care.

I think I missed how Kate figured out that Ben was behind the lawyer. How did she know?

Anonymous said...

Remember when I thought Lost was over when they first showed Jin so I went downstaris & fed Steve & then I came back upstairs & sat on the bed talking until you finally said "you're making me miss Lost."? I think it happened then.

Hey there's still no guarantee that the oceanic six ever GET back to the island.

Rousseau's eyes are too close together.

I hope that they explain the whispering of the "others" from season 1 and 2 as traces of the survivors from another time bleeding through.

Question to the question:
Were Charlie and/or Jin present at Aaron's birth?

Cody said...

One thing I didn't realize and think about until recently: If Rousseau's Team found Jin, does that mean he's in 1988 or whenever that was, or that they have somehow time traveled as well? If Jin's in 88, how did he get there? Could the first time shift have been variable depending on how close to the "epicenter" of the bubble you were? Or could it be possible that someone "moved the island" in Rousseau's time (perhaps they were trying to sail AWAY from the island), and it just so happens that their and Jin's timeshift overlapped?

Skipper said...

didn't you see the last epidode and the one a few years ago?

Only Kate was there.

Anonymous said...

Jin and Charlie are there, but not RIGHT there. They're close enough to be watching, because Charlie wants to run to her and Jin holds her back. At least, that's what I remember. Am I wrong?

Anonymous said...

also, I think Jin is in 1988 and he has been time traveling.

Cody said...

So does that mean that Locke, Sawyer, et al were in 1988 at the same time?

Where the heck are Rose and Bernard, anyways?

brandi said...

I can't remember when the last flash of the episode happened, but I was thinking everyone was in 1988.

I also wish Rose and Bernard would go away.

Two most annoying moments:
* Introduction of Aijra Airlines (no more new characters LOST! You have enough on your plate already.)

* Trying to figure out what the boat full of French people were saying. Rewinding over and over again, until the French native speaker in my group said, "These people are speaking stupid French.... oh wait, no wonder, they're fucking Canadians!"

Hey guys, as a winner of 5 bucks from AlNonymos and someone who has been proven to always be right I think maybe you're being to hard on the show. Didn't we get to Sayid kick ass? and Ben be creepy? Hasn't Aaron only had two lines? Clearly Hurley will be out of jail and everybody will be back on the Island in a few episodes. Maybe we should just eat some pot butter, sit back and enjoy the ride. It's only episode 4 after all. LOST always takes time to warm up like my old truck, and like my old truck it will beep when you run it backwards, fr reals! Shit is a trip! Cough it up Al! I want my 5 dollars! And i apologize for texting you the same thing last night. That thing being I want my 5 dollars Granmps!!!

Anonymous said...

you don't eat that butter just on it's own, do you DP?

Anonymous said...

this show is falling into a familiar rut, where nothing happens the entire episode. then either a new or old character is lobbed back into the storyline in the final five minutes. boooooooring.

honestly,
a lost fan...i swear.

Anonymous said...

If you had the closed caption on while you were watching (as I was while playing my DS) you would have been able to read the French. Oh yea, you guys are Americans and can only speak/read American.

Cody said...

DP, I agree, people (myself included) are being a little too hard. I actually don't think the kid who's playing aaron is bad at all, it's more the Kate faking maternal instinct thing that bothers me. It's usually about the 3rd episode into a season that things start getting a little iffy anyways. I'm sure next week's will be good, the following will be okay, the one after that will be great, the one after that will be the worst, etc. etc. That's showbiz though.

Anonymous said...

wow. I swear that anonymous post (lost fan) was not me. But goddamn I couldn't have said the words better myself. Totally booooring.

Miles is totally that Dharma Initiative guy's baby.

Which leaves the question - who's baby is/was Charlotte? Because you definitely know she was born there too.

BC said...

My favorite theory is that she is Daniel's daughter. But I don't know who her mother is ... maybe Ellie or whatever her name was.

beckler said...

Scott-
I wasn't going to blame you for making me miss the thing about Ben and the lawyer, but yes, it was your fault. Can someone answer my question?

Also, where the hell is Al?

Also, I thought of that thing about the whispers being people traveling through time, which would be cool, except it was supposed to always signal the presence of others.

Cody said...

Oh man, I'm loving that Charlotte is somehow Daniel's daughter theory. There's definitely a relationship there, and I, like most people are assuming it's romantic, but it's not like they've done anything creepy yet. He just said he cares about her more than anything else in the world.

Al was having technology difficulties... it wasn't letting him post.

also, my word verification is joinies. is that readers on OPM?

DB said...

I feel that every other episode this season has been terrible - the second hour of the premiere and now this one. Not coincidentally, they are the two shows that dealt the heaviest with the off-island future storyline. I think it was initially tantalizing to see glimpses of the Oceanic 6 in their post-island lives, but they've written it into a corner. There's nowhere to go but back to the island, verrrrrry slowly.

Also, why is the island only jumping around to important events in the island history (Yemi's plane crash, Aaron's birth, Rousseau's landing)? Is there something to it or is it just laziness?

Charles Albright said...

For a critic Dan you have become sooooo critical.

Bad? Really? Maybe not season 1 or 2 quality. But Bad? Is there nothing sacred Dan? Next you'll be telling me how "bad" Johnny English is.

Charles

ps. They are going to milk the return to the island. There was no way around that one. And Jin couldn't have been dead because they didn't milk it. Thats the true death test on lost.

Anonymous said...

I'd like a whole episode where the island transports to a really nice quiet, uneventful day & everyone just hangs out. Ideally Rose & Bernard would be the main focus of this episode.

-miller

Anonymous said...

I like the Charlotte is Daniel's daughter theory too. I don't think they've ever showed them kissing, have they? And there is something not quite romantic about it, I thought it was just bad acting or writing, but now that I hear this theory...genius!

A Belated Admission of Defeat from Grandpa Al:

Dear Readers of Orange Peel Mouth,

I hereby admit that Jin was indeed alive, albeit through the power of bullshit-ass-bullshit. I owe DP five bucks and I owe Jana five bucks. However, I did not bet people like Grace, Conwad Twitty, Natalie, Cody, etc. so they can have bragging rights, but that's it. Now, stop sending me gloating texts.

Sincerely,
Al

Hey Mad, just so ya know I don't eat pot butter by itself, I spread it on toast.

veri-word: puscrami- The Turkish version of pastrami, it's too salty and it kills Armenians.

Anonymous said...

Pot toast, right?

-miller

DB said...

Bad. Yes, bad.

The first and third episodes were fantastic, but the second and fourth were full of loitering and narrative dead ends.

I hear that in a future episode, Farraday builds a bullshit detector that gets set off when everyone finds out Jin is alive.

DB said...

Incidentally, even the Time Loop Theory guy thinks this new season is some bullshit-ass-bullshit:

-"The show has changed so much now and it's really not that good anymore - it's just a means to get to the answer."

-"Now that we're full force into time travel, do you think the show will meander into nonsense?

Yes, unfortunately, I do. After the season 5 premiere, it was apparent that the producers are willing to venture even further into the concepts of time travel, introducing what I see as more randomness."

Dylan Thomas B. said...

Time-loop guy is just butt-hurt that he was wrong. His theory was VERY well thought out. It just wasn't the right one. He had so many people supporting his theory that it went to his head, so when it wasn't the right one, he got pissed.

I am a man of faith when it comes to this show. That last episode was just a sacrifice that the island demanded. But don't worry. You men of science will be satisfied as well in the end. I know that now it feels far fetched, but in the end, you'll be happy to have stuck it out.

So come on. Stick it out!

OK, Benjamin Franklin didn't say that. BENJAMIN STEINERT did. It's just a show!

Yesterday, Matt Maxwell (in a weak attempt at breaking my balls) let it slip that the "Lost" producers admitted that the future off-island stuff wasn't working, and they had written themselves into a corner. The Barnesyard: vindicated again.

Charles Albright said...

Remember when they went to the mini-island? Season three was it? That also wasn't great.

That said, we've all counted lost out before. And they have always come back. Always.

Charles

DB said...

I made the same mistake in counting out "Johnny English" after the first half hour, and I've regretted it ever since.

nortagemdar said...

Jin and Charlie were both present during Aaron's birth (towards the end), however, they were standing a ways off so as to give privacy to Kate and Claire. So I don't know if that answers a question or not...

Hi,
Al stop ignoring me and my $5 victory.

You know what's funny about the whol Jin dead/alive controversy?

No one really seems to care that Michael died... or did he??? :)

Michael is dead. The actor who plays him has ranted about it somewhere...
